Scroll across images to see measurements guide.

There are only two measurements for the Heal. The first is around the top of your dog's leg, and the second is the length over your dog's back, from the left elbow over the back to the right elbow.

Medium leg cuffs adjust from 16cm - ~20cm - sherpa sleeves are sold separately

Lead length over the back adjusts up to 100cm

How it works:

The Heal is a lead that attaches to our dogs existing harness. It comes as one piece and is super easy to put on. The Heal has two leg straps which can be adjusted to comfortably fit above your dog's elbows, which are at the top of the leg. Each cuff comes with a padded sleeve for extra comfort. The lead threads through your dog's harness by attaching via a carabiner clip, which comes with the Heal lead. Simply clip on, secure the length of the lead over your dog's back with the toggle, then clip on your existing lead to head off into the sunset.

For added security, use a double clip lead - clipping on to your dog's harness and The Heal.

When putting The Heal on, offer your dog treats throughout. If he happily eats as you put it on, then he is probably consenting to it being placed on him. If he stops eating or shows signs of distress, stop and try again another time. New things take getting used to. Work at his pace.

Dogs with preexisting conditions such as elbow dysplasia, or osteoarthritis are not recommended to utilise the Heal, as a safety precaution.

We are proud to invest in ongoing research to develop and build a solution that is inclusive for all dog guardians, and driven by improving animal welfare. Our recent pilot study with the University of Melbourne’s Animal Welfare Science team (Veterinary Medicine Department), has found the study having promising results… “a device that reduces pulling behaviour while maintaining dog comfort”. Whilst this is only a pilot study (small study), we are encouraged by the feedback and look to continue research on a bigger scale. We want to ensure we are doing everything we can to provide a lead that not only helps reduce pulling, but is safe and comfortable | Patent: No 2024902456 |
